Old Cairo: Visit Coptic Cairo, home to ancient Christian churches such as the Hanging Church (Saint Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox Church) and the Coptic Museum, which preserves a rich collection of Christian artifacts from Egypt’s Christian heritage then head to Sakakra.

Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser: Visit Saqqara, the ancient burial ground for Memphis. Here you will find the Step Pyramid of Djoser, designed by the architect Imhotep around 2670 BCE. This pyramid is considered the world’s first large stone structure and a precursor to the later pyramids at Giza.

Dahshour Pyramids: Continue to Dahshour, where you’ll see two notable pyramids: the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. The Bent Pyramid is unique due to its changing angle, which caused it to “bend” as construction progressed. The Red Pyramid is the first successful smooth-sided pyramid built by Pharaoh Sneferu.

Once through the lock, the boat will dock near one of the islands along the river. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the nearby village, experiencing local life and culture. The tour guide will assist in organizing a walking tour of the area.

Afternoon:
